I’m a fiction editor based in Yorkshire, England. I specialise in the genres I love most and know best: romance and erotica.

Your work will be edited entirely by me – a human – not AI. In the same way, I want to work with manuscripts written by humans. I believe in creativity and imagination. The things only your mind can come up with.

What Led Me to Editing Romance?​​​​

Starting my career as a library assistant, I catalogued, organised, and managed all kinds of media (though mostly books). After moving town, I began working in customer support, where I developed skills in team leadership, training, and quality assurance. Reviewing and refining written communications gave me my first taste of editing and, together with my love of books, inspired me to pursue it as a career.

​

My reading background has always been wonderfully varied. I grew up reading manga (Death Note, Kenshin), fantasy (Tolkien, Sanderson), crime/thrillers (Coben, Beckett), and horror (Stephen King) before eventually discovering the vast world of romance novels.    The genre has dominated my bookshelves for over a decade, but I still make room for the occasional thriller, memoir, or fantasy book.

I’m an Intermediate Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) and have completed extensive professional training through the organisation, as well as the Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA), Liminal Pages, and Louise Harnby. My work is grounded in industry-recognised standards and best practices, and I continue to expand my expertise.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me with a book in hand, immersed in video games, exploring local cafés, or out on long walks with my family.

If you couldn’t guess already, green and purple are my favourite colours, and I love rhododendrons. :-)
